NOTICE ON COVID-19
As the coronavirus pandemic spreads quickly around the globe, there are increasing concerns about the challenges faced by the vulnerable people in our community.
Our mission is to help those in need. We are working closely with our partner organizations to fund additional food and other assistance.
In compliance with the CDC’s guidelines on COVID-19, some of the programs have changed the ways they serve. You can find these updates on our website; however, we recommend that you call before you go.
Hunger Programs (Some food pantry service providers are looking for mask and glove donations, open the page for their contact information.)
Illinois Department of Commerce has recently launched a new initiative to help families, in particular, to help them access and afford home energy assistance and other essential services during COVID-19, the pre-online application can be found HERE.
Social Security Administration (SSA) is still assisting clients with ongoing benefits and vital services. You can call 877-402-0824, (TTY)1-800-325-0778 and talk with a local representative 9:00am-4:00pm Monday thru Friday. If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance in our community, please email email@example.com. Click HERE if you look for more available resources.
Meanwhile, we encourage our members to pray for the frontline healthcare workers and those who are affected by COVID-19. We are in this together, we will get through it together.
